So tonight the boys went to the Priesthood session and the girls had a girls night. So what do girls do on girls night one might ask....... we watched the kids.lol But we also played speed scrabble. My Mom cracks me up, she came up with words that were not in the english dictionary. I repeat, words that were not in the english dictionary, but they were words that could be found in forgien dictionary.lol... words that are in Hebrew, spanish, and words in other languages. Only my mom could do that. so we tried to tell her that those words don't count, but she would look them up in a dictionary online and then would proceed to tell us that if the word is in the dictionary online then it counts. (even though our rule was english words only).
And then the best part of the night. hahaha, i'm laughing now just thinking about it.lol... Everyone was either in bed or getting ready for bed and my sister Janet was in the bathroom. so I decided that I would hide in her room and scare her. (if your wondering how old i am... i'm 23...and it's never to late to have moments where you can act like your 12 again, just sayin'.) So here I am waiting on the floor between her bed and the closet to scare her. It seemed liked forever for Janet to come in her room. And then I heard the toliet flush!!! My heart started beating fast (and yes, it's true, I started to giggle, i'm a nerd), and my plan just felt better all the more. So as the door closed, I thought to myself "this it, don't get scared now" (name that movie!). My timing couldn't have been more perfect. Janet was getting her PJ's on and then I stood up and yelled BOOOOOO. her face was priceless. i wish i would have had a camera. Her eyes got all big, and she totally scream. it was awesome, and the cherry to put on top of a really fun night. Like I said, it's never to late to have nights where your 12 again.

What to do???
I'm back in Texas. When I left on Saturday the 21st, I cried all the way home. I really miss Beth, John, Jack, and Lauren. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to be back around my family and friends in Texas. I just really miss New Jersey.
I also started school this past Monday. What did I get myself into? I have so much do, it's not even funny.How do teachers not get paid more. I'm in education classes this semester, and I have so much to do outside of class. I mean, I know other majors require a lot too, but teachers really should be getting paid more. Well this entry is kinda sad, so hopefully I can spice it up later.

smelly and crazy
SMELLY
So, a couple of days ago, Jack, Lauren, and I spent most of the morning at the park. When we got home, we had lunch, Lauren went down for a nap, and Jack stayed up with me. I decided I would check my facebook and Jack wanted to sit next to me and watch. Now, I'm sure most people have been around a little 5 year boy, who has just been playing and running around all morning, so needless to say he didn't smell very good. So I said to Jack.. " Hey buddy, you don't smell very good, Can you sit in that chair over there and as soon as I'm done, I'll help you take a shower if you want my help." So he goes and sits in the chair for all of 5 seconds and then comes back over to sit right next to me ( and Jack is the type of kid, where there is NO personal space)lol. So I looked at him and he proceeds to say to me
"Why don't you just keep your nose down and not smell me."
Me in shock- "What?"
Jack- " Just plug your nostrils and don't breathe me"
Me still in shock, starting to chuckle- "Plug my nostrils?"
Jack- "Yeah, you know, nostrils is your nose, just plug them and don't breathe me."
Me now laughing out loud- "No, go take a shower."
So needless to say I don't know what I'm going to do when I get back to Texas, and I don't have two adorable kids sneezing on me, waking me up to give hugs, and kisses, wanting me to read with them and play. I'm really am going miss all of this...well maybe not the sneezing part.
AND CRAZY
Remember the movie the Burbs with Tom Hanks? Beth and John's street sometimes reminds me of that movie. Everyone knows everyone, and all of their business. The only thing is the crazy neighbor isn't next door but across the street. So after having a great night at music in park with the family, when we got home, there was a taxi car across the street. The driver seemed to be yelling at the person in the back seat. So once the driver saw us, he proceeded to walk over to come and talk to us, and tell us that there is a women who is passed out in the back seat. So Beth, being Beth, has no problem going over to see who the women is, and tries to wake her up.
(see Beth's facebook for how she "woke her up", classic). And as much as I wanted to see what's going on, aka Drama!!! and not mine...hey, hey, hey!!! I decided it would be best to take Jack, and Lauren inside, and let John and Beth handle the situation. So I promptly got Jack and Lauren inside, read scripture (fast, i might add, not my best moment), said prayers, and promptly got them to bed, so that I, of course, could go outside. But when I went outside, the next thing I know, and see, it's a block party! Everyone is outside on their porch, and there are three cop cars, with some cops trying talking to the now awake, and still very drunk lady (who was also telling all the neighbors that they all know they love her and would miss her if she didn't live on the street)(doubtful, i might add), and other cops taking to neighbor and joking around telling stories. Like this is nothing out of the usual. I wish I remember to take pictures. It was one for the books. Again, I'm really going to miss being able to sit out on a front porch and people watch. My street in Texas is too quite. Maybe I should spice it up???

Too Early, and Too Much
So today was not the best day. Jack has been waking up around 6am every morning which is fine, however today all Jack and Lauren seemed to want to do was fight...too much. So needless to say,when I have days like today, I truly can wait longer to have kids, and I'm glad when John and Beth get home cause then I can have time to myself.

Jack, Lauren, and I have been swimming everyday next door. I had a tube over my head trying to sneak up and scare Jack (it worked), so then he tries to do it to me ( of course I pretended to be scared), I took the tube back and then what does Jack proceed to say " you're awkward. you're awkward to play with. you're just awkward." lol.... I was actually speechless. I was not awkward.
The missionaries have also been coming over lately and of course Jack likes them. So two Thursdays ago, Jack talking to Beth and is like " the orphans are coming over tonight"
Beth- " what orphans?"
Jack- " You know, those guys in white shirts. they ride bikes. The orphans."
Beth- (after laughing) " they're not orphans, they're missionaries."
And one of the best things I've seen this summer.... Lauren doing her robot dance. classic!

life in new jersey
so my nephew jack and I have been having this conversation about cemeteries and powerlines. He seems to think that there is a cemetery under every powerline. and this conversation has been going on for days now. so today, when we were driving home from the park jack says " i think we need to stop by those powerlines over there so i can show you the cemetery."
me- " jack there isn't a cemetery there, but I'll tell you what. if there's not a cemetery then you have to take a nap, if there is one then you get to stay up. deal?"
jack- "deal". so what happens... of course there was a cemetery.
jack-"sighs out loud and says ' that feels good'"
me- " what? that you were right?"
jack - "yes!"
So needless to say i got schooled by a five year today, and he got to stay up, which meant no nap for me. lol

Hola!
I thought I would try this thing. It's a little odd to write my thoughts so that others can read them, but I'm also bad at staying in touch with people. So, I thought that this would be another great way to stay in-touch. So, for now, this will just have to be my first posting. More will come later!
